Abstract

Metaxenia studies indicated that different pollen parents increased berry size, berry weight and seed weight. In general, higher seed weight and seed number were observed to be closely associated with higher size and weight of berries irrespective of the fact whether polliniser used was seeded or seedless one. The cultivar Perlette was found to be the best polliniser for improving the size and weight of berries.
