Abstract

Beaufils’ Diagnosis and Recommendation Intergrated System (DR1S) was employed to assess the nutrient imbalaces in relation to poor yields in Thompson Seedless vine plots receiving varying levels of N and K2O. Bloom time petiole nutrient contents of 32 plots of two vines each yielding more than 20 kg/vine were used to develop norms to evolve the nutrient indices of seven plots yielding less than 15 kg/vine. Low K and high P indices were associated with low yielding ones. The non-bearing of P index and the synergistic bearing of Mg and N indices with that of K on fruit yield are discussed.
