Thiourea applied to dormant vines of Thompson Seedless, Madeleine Angevine and Bian Sherai for four weeks beginning first week of January resulted in enhanced bud burst. Fruitfulness of the vines, as expressed in per cent fruitful shoots and number of clusters, as also yield and quality were not affected by thiourea sprayed closer than four weeks prior to bud burst. Thiourea and KN03 combination was less effective than thiourea in enhancing bud burst.
