Studies on Growth Curves on Different Characters of Sapota in Relation To Various Levels of Soil Esp

Five ESP treatments viz. 20, 30, 40 and 60, and control were tried in a completely randomized design each with four sapota pots. The observations on growth of different plant characters were taken at different intervals. Different growth curves were fitted to the data. The findings of the study revealed that the growth rates significantly declined with an additional dose of ESP after certain level in case of plant height, number of leaves and stem diameter after 360 days interval and also for other characters, such as fresh weight of whole plant, root and top, dry weight of top and length of root.
