The analysis of the bleeding sap of the Thompson Seedless grapevines indicated the presence of the mineral elements (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper manganese, iron and boron) which may serve as an indicator of the nutritional status of the vine. There was little difference in the mineral composition of the xylem exudate collected on three different dates. These studies further suggest that the mineral mobilization characteristics may be associated with the disorder of flower and bud drop.
