The efficacy of various growth regulators in ameliorating granulation in Dancy tangerine fruits on 12-year-old trees raised on rough lemon (C. jamubhiri Lush.) root-stock was investigated. Three applications each of GA (20 ppm); 2, 4-D (20 ppm; 2,4,5-T (100 ppm) and NAA (200 ppm) significantly reduced the incidence and degree of granulation and brought about an increase in fruit weight. The total sugar content and the total soluble solids were found to increase with the growth regulator sprays.
