Five grafted two year old Langra mango plants which have not flowered earlier, were stress imposed by waterlogging by keeping the pots in watertank. The water level was below the graft union. Flowering was obtained in two plants after 55 days (end of February 1982) of stress imposed by waterlogging. There was no flower induction in the controlled plants. The observations indicated that water stress conditions can be used for the induction of flowering in mango.
