Abstract

The conidia of ber powdery mildew (Oidium erysiphoides f. ziziphi) could germinate on host leaves at temperature range of 8 to 35°C but germination was maximum at 25°C. No germination occurred at 5 and 40°C. As regard the relative humidity requirement, conidia were capable of germinating even at zero per cent humidity, however, good germination was obtained at 93–100 percent relative humidity.
