Screening of Dwarfing Mango Rootstocks at Nursery Stage on the Basis of Anatomical Characters

Studies on scrjening of rootstocks of mango on the basis of anatomical characters were conducted at nursery stage. Twentyfour rootstock comprising ten polyembryonic and fourteen monoembryonic were taken for experimentation and long range rootstock trial was planted on the same rootstocks for confirmity of the results. From the results, it became apparent that Taimuria, Olour, Rumani, Nakkare, Kuruk-kan appeared to be dwarf rootstocks, whereas Dashehari, Chausa, ST-9, Moovandan and Sakarchina showed vigorous nature.
