Effect of Pruning Time on Productivity and Fruit Quality of Sub Tropical Peach

The peach trees pruned on January 10 and November 29 resulted in the maximum and minimum yield respectively. The fruit length, diameter and weight were maximum on the trees pruned on January 31. TSS and sugars were maximum in the fruits of the trees pruned on December 6 while high TSS/acid ratio and low acidity were observed in fruit as January 17 pruned trees. The optimum time for pruning peaches in is from mid-December to mid-January.
