Mixtalol. a mixture of long chain aliphatic alcohols (C24 — C34), was applied as foliar spray on brinjal (Cv. Arka Navneet). Application of the chemical at the rate of 4 ppm, 6 to 8 weeks after transplanting in fields, increased the brinjal yield by 35 to 52 per cent over control.
