Twenty six cultivars of okra were evaluated for heritability, genotypic coefficient of variations, genetic advance and correlation coefficient at ICAR Research Complex, Manipur, during the year 1984. Existance of wide variation was supported by different estimates. Plant height, yield per plant and number of seeds per pods, had high genotypic coefficient of variation, heritability and genetic advance. Where as number of pods per plant, and length of pods showed moderatly high values of genotypic coefficient of variations and high heritability. Plant height, number of pods per plant and pod length had positive and strong correlation with yield. Hence, there is lot of scope for the improvement of these characters in okra by selection.
