Deblossoming of early emerged panicles in Cv. Dashehari in relation to productivity and physico-chemical composition of the fruits were evaluated. The study revealed that mechanical deblossoming effected during the end of December increased the number of fruits per shoot significantly from 0.2 (control) to 0.5. Although, the average weight and volume of the fruit was reduced by deblossoming treatment, it had additive effect on yield. Total soluble solids and titratable acidity were unaltered.
