Linkage Relationship Between Gene Controlling Resistance To Rust and Flower As Well As Stipule Base Colour in Peas

F₂ generation of 4 crosses derived from one rust resistant genotype (RPB-22) and 2 susceptible genotypes (Bonneville and Erygel) were used to investigate the linkage relationship between resistance and flower and stipule colour. The findings indicates that these two qualitative characters and resistance are independent of each other. Chromosome-I carrying the gene for flower/stipule base colour may not be carrying gene for resistance. These characters segregated independently.
