Abstract

The green and greenish red to reddish purple coloured berries on a Gulabi bunch form the unevenly ripened harries (URBs). This disorder affects about 48 27 per cent of the berries on a vine. The proximal one-third portion of a bunch possess the maximum number of affected berries. This disorder is found to be a function of the total number of berries and it does not follow any other pattern or order of occurlence. Eventhough the URBs are heavier on fresh weight basis, they are found deficient on dry weight basis hinting at the possible role of dry matter availability as a controling factor of this disorder. The seededness of affected berries also is found to be related to this disorder.
