Abstract

The plateau period for NPK was observed in five to seven-month old leaves (August to October) collected from fruiting as well as non-fruiting terminals. The N, P and K content of leaves from fruiting as well as non-fruiting terminals decreased after the stablising period with the advancement of leaf age. The N, P and K concentration in leaves collected from non-fruiting terminals was higher than in leaves from fruiting terminals. Thus for leaf analysis work on guava five to seven-month old, 50–60, mid-shoot leaves, from non-fruiting terminal should be collected during August to October.
