Size and Shape of Plots and Blocks for Field Trials on Cabbage (Brassica Oleracea Var. Capitata)

From the uniformity trials conducted at Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Ranchi a plot size of 5.0 to 6.5 m² was found optimum for field trials on cabbage. The shape of the plot did not show any effect of CV. The number of replications showed decreasing trend and area required for experimentation showed increasing trend with the increase of plot size within a block.
