Effect of Rootstocks on Leaf Nutrient Status of Lemon (Citrus Limon Burm.)

Abstract

The influence of 9 rootstocks viz., Kama Khatta, Jambheri, Bhadri lemon, Sour orange, Trifoliate orange, Kodakithuli, Troyer citrange, Rangpur lime and Cleopatra mandarin budded with Pant lemon-1 and self rooted cutting grown plants of Pant lemon-1 on the leaf nutrient composition was studied from 1981 to 1983. The results revealed marked annual variation in leaf nutrient contents of Pant Jemon-1 on different rootstocks. Various rootstocks affected the N, P, K, Zn, Fe, Mn and Cu contents of leaves while they did not affect the Ca and Mg contents of leaves.
