Abstract

From the uniformity trials conducted at Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Ranchi during 1985–86, a plot size of 6.0 to 8.0 m2 having 30 to 40plants was found optimum for laying out yield trials on chillies (var. Jwala) irrespective of its shape. Further, it was observed that smaller plot need more replication and less experimental area per treatment.
