Evaluation of Different Fungicides Against Black Leaf Spot of Ber

Abstract

Black spot of ber Zizyphus mauritiana Lamk caused by Isariopsis indica var. zizyphi was recorded to be a serious disease. Efficacy of eight fungicides namely S 3308, Dithane M-45, Systhane, Thiovit, Daconil, Bavistin PP 523 and Karathane were tested for two years in the field. Bavistin (0.1 per cent) was the most effective showing 19 and 30.5 PDI in both the years as agaings 59.7 PDI 78.5 in control in 1987 and 1988 respectively. This was closeiy followed by Daconil (0.2 per cent), Anvil (0.05 per cent) and Dithane M-45 (0.2 per cent). S 3308 though was found effective but its efficacy varied in both the years.
