Trees of Kinnow mandarin on Jatti Khatti (Citrus jambhiri Lush) were planted at Regional Fruit Research Station, Abohar (Punjab) during October 1981 with five spacings 6 X 3m, 6 X 4.5 m, 6 X 6 m, 6.7 X 6.7 m and 7.6 X 7.6 m in order to fmd out suitable spacing. Upto third year of the plants, there were marginal differences in the vegetative prebearing growth among all the five spacings. Differences in trees growth have been observed in the fourth year. Widely spaced trees (7.6 X 7.6 m) were significantly vigorous in scion growth and slow in side gmwth. Trees in 6 X 3 m spacing fonned more or less a hedge in between two trees at the end of 4th year age. Overall vegetative growth and tree health under 6 X 6 m spacing was better and uniform at the completion of four year field age.
