There was marked influence on the production of different flower types long, medium, pseudo-short and true-short styled flowers per plant due to application of growth regulators, high potassium and their combinations. In respect of long styled and medium styled flowers production/plant and the fmit set, triacontanol 5 ppm foliowed by kinetin 50 ppm were found superior to other grrowth regulators. Application of high K2O (80 kg/ha) was found to be superior in all aspects of flowering, fruit set and yield over low K2O (40 kg/ha) and no potassium application. In respect of ovary diameter, significant mean differences were observed among growth regulators and potassium levels for long and medium styled flowers, while none of the treatment combinations found to be influencing the ovary diameter in pseudo short and true-short style flowers. In general, high K2O (80 kg/ha) application in combination with triacontanol 5 ppm spray on 30th and 45th day exhibited greater influence orr flowering, fmit set and yield of brinjal per plant. None of the treatments and tl1eir combinations were found to be increasing style length significantly in different flower types.
