Abstract

Growth regulators, GA3 15 ppm, 2, 4-D 15 ppm, NAA 300 ppm and CaNO3 0.5% were sprayed in October and November to check the incidence of granulation in sweet orange cv. Mosambi. All the four growth regulators reduced the incidence of granulation as compared to control. GA3 15 ppm was the most effective followed by NAA 300 ppm. Fruit weight, per cent pulp and per cent extractable juice decreased with granulation whereas per cent peel increased. Total soluble solids were found to be low but no differences in ascorbic acid content was recorded in the normal and granulated fruits.
