Investigations were conducted to study the effect of different levels of N (40, 80 and 120 Kg N/ha), P (30, 60 and 90 Kg PzOs/ha) and depth of planting (tips touching the soil surface, 2.5 cm deep and 5.0 cm deep below the soil surface) in Nasik red cultivars of onion for two years. Application of N @ 80 Kg N/ha and P @ 60 Kg P2O5/ha significantly increased the number of scapes, size of umbel, seeds per umbel and seed yield per plant. Planting bulbs 2.5 cm deep below soil surface lncreased the scape number and seed yield per plant.
