Growth promoters like triacontanol, activol, NM and ergostim all at lower concentrations were found very effective in enhancing growth and yield in strawberry. However, retardants like paclobutrazol and cycocel reduced vegetative growth. Regulator treatments increased flower number by 50 percent over control. Fruit length, diameter, weight and volume was also found more in regulator treated plants. Chemical constituents like, T.S.S. and anthocyanin contents were generally more in berries of treated, plants.
