Abstract

Studies were conducted to find out genetics and character associations in bi-parental, F2 and F3's progenies of cauliflower. The significant variances were observed for days to curd initiation, and maturity, total plant weight, curd weight, sugar, protein and vitamin ‘c’ contents and other characters. The magnitude of dominance variance were predominant for all characters except sugar content. The character association revealed that variety/hybrid/composite/synthetic with earliness and heavy yield is not possible. Development of hybrids, composities, synthetics were suggested for further improvement in tropical cauliflower.
