Mathematical models for study of relationships of nitrogen with yield, quality and biomass distribution in papaya

Using fertilizer response function, the optimum N for maximum possible yield has been derived. Studies on the relationship of nitrogenous doses with total biomass and its distribution on different plant parts have been reported. While there was no relation of N to biomass and its components distribution during growth period, there was significant influence during fruiting period. Age at the harvest sampling played very important role in determining the biomass distribution.
