The information on economics of cultivation of aster is given. Growing of aster crop was found highly profitable, though capital intensive requiring around Rs. 14000/ha. Kharif season seems to be best suited for getting maximum returns and growing it in summer seems to result in least profits. Self marketing should be encouraged for getting maximum returns and for this proper marketing credit facilities should be provided. The high commission charges of 10–12% need to be reduced by regulating trade in flower crops and controlling the activities of commission agents.
