Multiple shoot cultures were obtained from callus cultures of Allium govanianum on MS medium supplemented with BAP (0.5 mgl−1) and NAA (0.5 mgl−1). The regenerants developed roots on NAA (0.5 mgl−1) supplemented medium. In-vitro raised plantlets were transferred to glass house and ultimately to field with a high rate (90–95 per cent) of survival.
