Abstract

The genetics of drooping and erect growth habits was studied in five cross combinations involving six parents in China aster. Growth habit was found to be controlled by one major gene. Droopingness was incompletely dominant over erectness. Gene Dp governeddroopir1g habit, while its allele dp controlled erect habit.
