The three cabbage varieties namely, Express, Pride of India and Golden Acre and five spaeing of 30 x 30, 45 x 30, 60 x 30, 45 x 45 and 60 x 45 cm were used. Pride of India produced maximum plant spread, significantly higher head diameter, highest head weight per plant and highest yield. Closer spacing of 30 x 30 cm gives the highest yield of 35.11 t/ha while wider spacing of 60 x 45 cm gave the bigger head weight with less yield/unit area.
