Abstract

Calcium content in ber leaves vary from 0.45 to 2.90 per cent in four cultivars namely Gola, Mundia, Seb and Umran, Mg; from 0.16 to 0.98 per cent and that of S from 0.04 to 0.36 per cent. It was difficult to get plateau in Ca concentration as it increased with leaf age. Status of Mg and S gave freedom for selection of an index tissue. Considering the status of secondary nutrients, it is suggested to collect the 6th leaf from secondary and/or tertiary shoots for nutrient diagnosis in ber.
