Abstract

Field-grown ‘Super Star’ cut roses can be stored wet for four days at 4°C and 75–80% RH without affecting its ultimate vase life at ambient temperatures. Cut rose buds stored upto four days expanded properly in vase and showed no bent necks. Beyond four days of storage, there was an increase in bud size and fresh weight, and a decrease in dry weight. Increase in the storage period increased the percentage of bent necks and reduced vase life at ambient temperatures.
