Abstract

The study was conducted on a well drained sandy loam soil under irrigated conditions. The treatments consist of 3 levels of phosphorus, viz., 75, 125 and 175 kgha and 3 levels of potassium, viz., 50, 100 and 150 kg/ha with a fixed supply of nitrogen at 125 kg/ha. Significant response of phosphorus and potassium was observed for characters like plant height, number of branches/plant, number of fruits/plant, fruit yield/plant as well as per hectare, seed yield/plant as well as per hectare, 1000 seed weight and germination percentage, and the maximum values were recorded at 75 kg P2O5 and 100 kg K2O/ha.
