Effect of GA3, ethephon, succinic acid, urea and Hindustan Petroleum tree spray oil on the biochemical constituents of the floral buds of Nonpareil and Drake cultivars of almond was studied. Starch, total carbohydrates and C:N ratio improved and total sugars declined under all the treatments. Total N and protein contents declined in all the treatments except urea where it was at par with control. The two cultivars differed in the biochemical constituents of their flower buds.
