An experiment was conducted to break rest, induce early maturity and improve the yield and fruit quality of Flordasun peach with hydrogen cyanamide (Dormex). Dormex was sprayed during third week of December after pruning, about eight weeks before the normal time of full bloom. ‘Dormex’ at the rate of 2 and 2.5 percent advanced the full bloom by 15 days and maturity by 6.25 days as compared to control treatment. There was also a significant improvement in the fruit yield under these treatments. The TSS was more and acidity was low under all Dormex treatments as compared to control.
