Tuber yield from F1C1 tuberlets of all TPS genotypes were higher than the standard cv Kufri Lalima. Among the TPS genotypes, 83P47×TPS/B-57 (54.85tha) followed by TPS C-3 (53.19 t/ha) and MS 80-758-TPSIB-57 (51.43tha) produced maximum tuber yield than the other TPS genotypes and excelled the standard cv Kufri Lalima. Most of the TPS genotypes produced significantly higher dry matter content than Kufri Lalima, whereas difference in starch content did not touch the level of significance and varied in the range of 16.10 to 18.91 percent. F1C1 tuberlets of all the TPS genotypes gave higher net return and cost: benefit ratio than that of standard cultivar.
