Irrigation water applied either at IW/CPE of 1.4 or at weekly intervals significantly increased the bulb size, weight and yield of spring sown (Feb-May) ‘Patna Red’ onion. The water use efficiency increased by applying irrigation at IW/CPE of 1.4 or at weekly intervals. However, irrigation levels did not have any effect on TSS and loss in weight of bulbs in storage. The maximum yield of onion bulbs was recorded at irrigation schedule on IW/CPE=1.4 and minimum was obtained by applying irrigation at IW/CPE=0.8.
