Abstract

The quality parameters of green pods of okra, such as length, diameter, volume and weight of pods as well as protein, phosphorus and starch content could be improved by applying nitrogen at 120 kg/ha and phosphorus 80 kg/ha. Intra-row spacing did not produce any significant effect on the quality. However, plants spaced at 45–60 cm produced better quality pods than those spaced at 30 cm.
