Abstract

The studies were conducted to investigate the relationship of leaf NH3—NH4+ content with the intensity of flowering/fruiting in Nagpur mandarin. The relationship of leaf NH3—NH4+ content and flowering response indicated the necessity of maintaining different levels of leaf NH3—NH4+ according to nature of soil. No distinct relationship between the leaf NH3—NH4+ and flowering/fruiting intensity was observed during induction of both mrig bahar (July flush) and ambia bahar (February flush) under hot sub-humid tropical climate of Central India.
