Abstract

The effect of different concentrations of ethrel on ripening and quality of Thompson Seedless grapes at four stages of berry growth have been studied. The treatment of grape bunches with 600 ppm ethrel at veraison (55 days after anthesis) hastened fruit maturity besides increasing the bunch weight, improving juice and total soluble solid contents and reducing acidity in grape berries.
