Abstract

A field trial was conducted with a view to maximise the production of gladiolus cv. ‘Pink Friendship’ through half or quarter corms. Whole and half corms produced significantly on par vegetative growth. Half corms produced about double corm and cormel yield when compared to whole corms. Detrimental effects on quality of flower spikes have been observed by using cut corms.
