Abstract

The cultural practices and intercrops did not significantly affect the growth of plant in the initial year of planting, whereas significant differences were recorded in next year. All the treatments were significantly superior than sod culture except height of the plant in second year. Maximum net return was obtained with okra-gram-okra followed by chilli as annual crop in both the years. However, highest NCBR was noted with chilli as annual crop (2.05 and 2.34) followed by okra-gram okra (1.9 and 2.32) rotation. All other cultural treatments were uneconomical. The growth of mango was not adversely affected by different treatments.
