Abstract

In a 8 × 8 parental diallel set involving 8 parents and 28 F1 hybrids of okra, genotypic coefficient of variation, heritability estimates and expected genetic advance were found to be high for marketable yield, total yield, number of fruits per plant and plant height indicating scope for selection and breeding for its improvement.
