Abstract

A comparative study was made on growth, yield, biomass production, reaction to leaf spot disease and dry matter and curumin recovery in Lakadong and newly evolved RCT-1 clone of turmeric. RCT-1 was quite efficient in yield (260.96 q/ha) performance, dry matter and curumin recovery per hectare with resistance to leaf spot disease. This clone can be successfully grown in Meghalaya.
