Correlation coefficient was estimated in 40 genotypes of brinjal of diverse origin at genotypic and phenotypic levels. In general, genotypic correlation coefficient was higher than phenotypic correlation coefficient. The correlation coefficients were consistently significant and positive between yield per plant and fruit length at genotypic level. This consistency was observed between yield and fruit length, number of fruits per plant and mean fruit weight at phenotypic level. The yield was also significantly and positively correlated with fruit size index both at genotypic and penotypic level; fruit width at phenotypic level and plant height at genotypic and phenotypic level.
