Horizontal polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used for identification of cherry rootstock of ‘Colt’ and ‘Paja’ using young leaves. Out of the five enzyme systems studied, distinct variability was found in esterase and alkaline phosphatase enzyme systems which can be used for segregating cherry rootstocks at the nursery stage.
