The response of different seed rates (7.5, 10.0, 12.5 and 25 kg/ha) and different row spacings (30, 45, 60 cm and broadcasting) was conducted for two years. The seed yield of spinach beet was highest when 12.5 kg seed/ha was used. The 1000-seed weight was also highest at this seed rate. The number of tillers, 1000-seed weight and seed yield was highest when the row spacing was 60 cm. Therefore, it is recommended that to get maximum seed yield, the crop should be sown at 60 cm apart using 12.5 kg seed/ha.
