Abstract

Field trials on gladiolus were conducted in calcareous soil to see the performance of different genotypes. PG-8 followed by PG-9 significantly produced largest spike, rachis and leaves and had bigger size of florets and longer vase life. Higher number of spikes per plot was recorded with PG-14 followed by PG-4. Bigger size and higher number of corms per hill was noted in PG-9. However, significantly higher number of cormels per hill was produced by PG-8.
