Abstract

Rangpur lime and rough lemon were crossed with Troyer citrange and trifoliate orange. Hybrid seedlings were separated on the basis of dominant trifoliate leaf marker. Different types of expression of leaf morphology were observed among the progenies of different crosses and even within the seedlings of the same cross or even within the same seedling. Leaf morphology varied from completely monofoliate to completely trifoliate, but many intermediate forms were also observed, indicating non-uniform expression of trifoliate leaf character in the hybrid progeny. Some sort of incompatibility was observed between rough lemon and trifoliate orange.
